If you or a loved one has a tree of personal significance, I offer a service to preserve its story. I can collect, or arange postage for the timber (no size too big or too small) and transform it into a limited run of prints for you and your friends/ family to share. Prices for personal prints start at £79.99
I would never want anyone to fell a tree for this purpose. If you already have tree surgeons carrying out work, even routine pruning, you can ask them to cut a ring approximately three inches thick. From there, simply get in touch via the contact page and I’ll respond as soon as possible.
The idea came about, when my girlfriend’s parents moved out of her childhood home, an oak tree in the garden needed a limb pruning. I quietly kept a section of the wood and made a print for her without her knowing. Since then, I’ve produced a small run so other family members could have one too, something tangible to keep and share.
Here is how the process works:
-
Reach out and tell me about your tree—what species it is, how big it is, and where it’s located.
-
I’ll work out what’s involved and send you a quote.
-
If you’re happy to continue, you can cut the tree, organise postage, or have me take care of it.
-
From this point on, I take over all the labourious work, relax and wait for your sample print.
-
Decide how many prints you’d like.
-
Framed or unframed?
-
Hang your print and share it with friends and family.
